There’s no other way to put it… things are crazy here right now. There’s nothing that Korea likes more than beating Japan in anything, and now they’ve got another chance. I’ll say this, watching the game right now in my apartment, and I can hear cheering coming from outside. The WBC is working…

- Just an update… if you think they’re not taking this seriously… I’ve seen more incredible defensive plays in this game then in any other game that I can remember. That and a Korean player just broke his helmet on a Japanese player’s leg sliding headfirst into second. And the dude’s still in the game.
- I’m loving the cut-aways to Jamsil Stadium here in Korea… When they’re excited, they are incredibly excited. When they’re depressed, the world just stopped.
- It is so hard to get any work done while I’m watching this game… For me, there’s just so much relevant drama on screen. I’m begging for a gapper right here… and nevermind. Korea’s down to their last three outs.
- Er… slight manager issue with Korea. 9th inning, you’re down by a run, and you put in a righty submariner to face Ichiro, only one of the best left handed hitters in the world. Not surprisingly, Ichiro’s standing on second with a double now.
- Wow… some more just staggering defense from Korea there. They desperately need to get out of this inning without another run crossing the plate.
- Excellent work to strand Ichiro at second. Now it comes down to the last three outs… and all they need is a run. What’s worse is that it’s getting dangerously close to the time I have to go to work.
- Two on, one out, fifteen minutes until work and it’s a fifteen minute walk. But it’s only a five minute taxi ride
. - Yu Darvish is filthy… Like a right handed Randy Johnson.
