Halloween was a blast. There are a ton of pictures around facebook of that absolute craziness, so hop on over there to check them out. I might try to put them on here if I have the time, but it’s just so much easier to upload them there.
There was one negative about Halloween though, and that [...]

Korea-Japan, Round 5
Posted in Korea, Sports, tagged baseball on March 24, 2009 | Leave a Comment »
There’s no other way to put it… things are crazy here right now. There’s nothing that Korea likes more than beating Japan in anything, and now they’ve got another chance. I’ll say this, watching the game right now in my apartment, and I can hear cheering coming from outside. The WBC is working…
Go Korea.
Just an [...]

I realized that’s there’s more than a couple of you who can’t see the pictures from this weekend, so I’ll pop them all up here now, with additional commentary!!! Enjoy:
The front entrance… cute girl at the bottom of the screen would be with me.
Everland’s an interesting place… part theme park, part zoo… they definitely take [...]

For those of you on Facebook, I just uploaded a bunch of pictures from my trip to Everland, the biggest amusement park in Korea. It was fun… but it just so happened that we picked a beautiful day with perfect weather when they were deciding to work on two of their big roller coasters. Bastards. [...]
While watching Korea-Mexico in the WBC…

The Korean announcers are like excited puppies on crack. When anyone on Mexico swings and misses, even with no strikes, they let out a shout. I don’t understand really anything outside of the Konglish, but it’s entertaining at least.
Giving up a single to Augie Ojeda must hurt. He’s three feet tall.
It’s a small strike zone. [...]
One week in Anyang… and some notes

It’s a weird situation. That’s about my conclusion about this place so far. I don’t particularly mean the town… from what I can tell, it’s a nice enough place. There’s no big markets around me, so getting certain food items is tough. Never thought I’d see a market not sell spaghetti, but my little corner [...]
So what’s new Matt…

Well I’m glad you asked.
Quite frankly a lot. I’ve already told you about the move, which happens here in two weeks. I’ll be having to move all my stuff, start a new job, and basically figure out a whole new city here soon. That’s the way that it looks for me, and what I can [...]

Been here for a good amount of time now, and I’ll tell you this, there’s a lot of give and take. This place is odd, and there’s not really another way to describe it. I’ve been doing a lot of reflection over this past week, because quite frankly, there hasn’t been a fat lot else [...]

Ended up here pretty much on a whim. Had three days off in a row, and everyone was going their own way. One thing led to another, and I just picked up a guidebook and somehow ended up going here. Luckily for me, it was easy to get to and really pretty. Above is Donghaksa, [...]
